Mine and Tania's trip to Airhop Trampoline Park

So the trip to airhop...

We started out 1.5 hour journey in the BEEMER! This was the first big solo trip that Joe had trusted me with and it's safe to say the drive went smoothly - ish! Besides a few issues with mrs sat-nav who made us miss a few turnings, we had a smooth journey... We are women, sense of direction is not a strength, but we a powerful women.... Who made it! Parking... Well, we won't mention that, but no scratches, scathes or bumps involved, just space searching like a monster to find the easiest space !!

Inside, we went in with a boss-man attitude.. 4 minutes in, we were gasping for air and already making a water fountain trip! It was some serious cardio workout !! But so much fun! Anyone that is thinking of spicing up their average midweek evening, this place is highly recommended !

There are several trampolines and various areas like a basketball hoop, dodgeball section, a jumping section and a foam pit. WE HIT THAT FOAM PIT straight away and it was surprisingly nerve wracking to take the plunge and submit yourself to jumping in! But, it was so exciting that I felt like a kid again. It's easy to forget that feeling of excitement and fearlessness that we all have as children...
It was so nice to briefly rekindle this!

By the end, we were pros, bouncing off and butt-bombing the wall trampolines too; take a look:

We were good to go, but the trip wasn't complete without our very own airhop advertisement, last pose

It's fair to say we both had an epic time and it really did make the modweek drag feel like a weekend ! I can't wait until the next time !!!!

Oh yeah, one last thing - the walk to the car park at the back of the industrial estate ... Just, no.

Any way the wind blows

Everybody has that certain space where they feel like stuff just makes sense. Nowadays, so much in life doesn't make sense, or is so overwhelmingly complex that our brains struggle to process anything in any great detail. Sometimes, just taking some time to visit "that place" can help.

This is not a rant or any real deep delve into my personal circumstances by any means, it's simply an event that swirled my mind into thought earlier today. So the windiest of days was had today on the walk over the Downs! Anyone that knows me, knows how much I hate the wind and there's nothing worse than the pounding of air repeatedly in and out of your ears. This coupled with several lashings across the face by straggling strands of hair is enough to make me run off in a hump and drive straight home.

Today though, as the sun shined, it was rather different. I don't know if it's the sudden appearance of the much missed English sun, or the surrounding cheerful walkers and passers-by, but somehow today, the wind seemed to be in my good books.

The more the wind blew in it's powerful gusts, the faster the clouds moved overhead. It occurred to me how easily and swiftly the clouds cleared and made way for a blue sky. It was as if they obeyed the authoritive command of the wind, and dissipated to allow for the most perfect, albeit cold, spring morning.

I was somewhat on a downer today because it was the day that Joe was going away for business for the week and I'm never a fan of these times! So being in this mood, I couldn't help but relate to the clouds. My mighty gusts of powerful air were to come from this working week and being a 'single cat parent' for the week. I swear having a cat is harder than having a toddler - harder on my sleep anyway!! So I was sure my skies would clear eventually, but it still didn't make the feeling any less difficult. Digressing- anyway, I just realised how quickly time can pass and like with any bad situation, it feels awful at the time, and when it has passed, it doesn't seem as bad as how you first imagined it!

It's weird how nature can link to our emotions and in this case help to make sense of 'stuff'. This might not necessarily mean much to others, but for me, going for a walk today helped to clear my head without a doubt.

Maybe it was just a coincidence that my thoughts cleared in accordance with the clouds, but today has taught me two things:
1. Sometimes all it takes is a walk and some fresh air on a sunny day.
2. I'll follow any way the wind blows, because chances are it'll clear the obstacles in the way, and most likely give you the nudge you need.
